BUN THAT LUANG 2017 – THE TRADITIONAL FESTIVAL OF LAOS

That Luang means ‘Great Tower’ (or to give its full title ‘Great Sacred Stupa’ ) in the Lao language. It is the country’s national symbol and the most important Buddhist religious monument. The festival is held over a period of between three to seven days

Bun That Luang

Activities began with the Wax Castle Procession at Wat Si Meuang in the capital Vientiane and ended with the final procession around the Great Stupa. Monks, pilgrims, laypersons, and general members of the public came from throughout the country.

FlexOffice organised a variety of activities, and with the giving away of art materials it allowed children to happily indulge in their artistic creativity.
